Baker Mayfield and the Room Search

Laurel and I were in Dallas for an OU game. They were playing Texas State Optical, an optometry school. OU lost the game and we were so embarrassed. We were driving back to our hotel and Baker Mayfield was in the car with us. I had on a stocking cap and Baker kept trying to adjust it for me and pull it lower on my head. The place we were staying was a hotel, but all the rooms were little houses on a street. Baker got out of the car when we pulled up in front of his room and I was trying to get out too, but another guy hopped in the car and we pulled around the corner. We couldn't remember which one was ours. Laurel was just going from house to house trying her key or knocking on the door. I decided to go ask someone at the check-in desk, which was outside on the street. The first one had two guys and they were speaking so low I couldn't hear them, and then I realized they were just telling me jokes. I walked to another desk where some women were working and told them I had forgotten my room number. I spelled Laurel's name for them, since she was the one who had made the reservation. They told me they had had too many people forget their room numbers and it was now company policy not to give them out anymore. There was a woman next to me who had forgotten hers as well and she got very angry with the front desk staff, threatening to kill them if they didn't tell her. I just wanted to get to the room so I could take a shower!
